Sherlock Holmes in Feldkirch
In September 1875, a sixteen-year-old boy came to Feldkirch who would go down in history for his literary creation Sherlock Holmes: he was, of course, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Conan Doyle attended the former Jesuit school Stella Matutina (now the Stella Vorarlberg Private College of Music) for a year. Arthur Conan Doyle-Gasse, a street named after him, is right next to the blaue rose hotel.
